Big Time Rush
2010s American Pop Music Boy Band
About Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush, formed in 2009 in Los Angeles, is an American pop boy band and television ensemble comprised of Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Carlos PenaVega, and Logan Henderson. The group rose to fame through Nickelodeon’s TV series Big Time Rush, where the members starred as aspiring musicians chasing their dreams in New York City.
Their self-titled debut album, BTR (2010), debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and featured pop hits like “Boyfriend” and “Til I Forget About You,” quickly establishing them as teen idols. The follow-up album, Elevate (2011), continued their success—driven by singles such as “Music Sounds Better with U”—and coincided with a nationwide tour and the second season of their show.
