Blake Shelton
Grammy-Nominated American Country Singer and Television Personality
About Blake Shelton
Blake Shelton, whose career began in the early 2000s, is a Grammy-nominated country singer-songwriter and TV personality from Ada, Oklahoma. Known for his warm baritone and down-home charm, he quickly established himself as a mainstay in modern country music. After moving to Nashville in 1997, he released his debut single “Austin” in 2001, which spent five weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart—launching his successful career. His 2011 album Red River Blue debuted at No. 1 on both the Billboard 200 and Top Country Albums charts, producing four No. 1 country singles—“Honey Bee,” “God Gave Me You,” “Drink on It,” and “Over.” Shelton received Grammy nominations for Best Country Album (Red River Blue) and Best Country Solo Performance (“Honey Bee” and “Over”). In 2013, his album Based on a True Story… also debuted atop the country charts and featured the No. 1 hits “Sure Be Cool If You Did,” “Boys ’Round Here,” “Mine Would Be You,” and “Doin’ What She Likes,” with the latter breaking the record for most consecutive country No. 1s. Over his career, Shelton has charted 41 singles with 30 reaching No. 1—including a record-setting 17 in a row—and has earned nine Grammy nominations. His influence extends beyond music: Shelton became a coach on The Voice in 2011, guiding multiple winners and hosting the show for 23 seasons before stepping away in 2023. He was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2010 and the Oklahoma Hall of Fame in 2014. Shelton’s 2025 album For Recreational Use Only includes the single “Texas,” marking his 30th No. 1 hit, and signals a renewed creative phase following a break after leaving The Voice. He has sold over 10 million records worldwide and continues to headline tours, major festivals, and benefit events. With his genuine stage presence, chart dominance and crossover TV appeal, Blake Shelton remains a top-tier performer for corporate galas, high-profile live events and festivals.
