Blueface
American Rapper Known for the Viral Hit "Thotiana" and Off-Beat Flow
About Blueface
Blueface is an American rapper whose offbeat flow and viral breakout hit "Thotiana" made him one of West Coast hip-hop's most distinctive new voices of the late 2010s. Born Johnathan Michael Porter on January 20, 1997, in Los Angeles, California, he was a high-profile college football quarterback at Fayetteville State University before returning home to pursue music full-time and quickly building a name in the L.A. underground.
His 2018 single "Respect My Cryppin'" went viral on social media thanks to his unconventional, behind-the-beat delivery, but it was the follow-up "Thotiana" that turned him into a household name. The track climbed the Billboard Hot 100, was certified multi-platinum, and reached the top 10 of the chart after Cardi B joined for the official remix in 2019.
