Bowling for Soup, formed in 1994 in Wichita Falls, Texas, are an American pop-punk band whose humor-laced anthems and party-loving energy have made them one of the most enduring and beloved acts to emerge from the early-2000s pop-punk boom. Founded by lead vocalist Jaret Reddick, guitarist Chris Burney, bassist Erik Chandler, and later joined by drummer Gary Wiseman in 1998, the group built its identity around fast, hooky, self-deprecating songs about relationships, nostalgia, and the everyday awkwardness of adult life.

Their breakthrough came with the album Drunk Enough to Dance (2002), which featured the smash "Girl All the Bad Guys Want" — a track that reached the Billboard Hot 100 and earned the band a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. They followed with A Hangover You Don't Deserve (2004), which produced their signature hit "1985" — a nostalgic anthem for Gen X and millennial fans alike that reached the top 40 in the U.S. and the top 10 in the UK.
