About Clint Black
Clint Black, whose career began in the late 1980s, is an American country singer-songwriter from Long Branch, New Jersey (raised in Texas). Known for his warm baritone, traditional country style, and sharp songwriting, he emerged during the neotraditional country revival and quickly became a leading figure in the genre.
His debut album, Killin’ Time (1989), produced five consecutive No. 1 singles—“A Better Man,” “Nothing’s News,” “Walking Away,” “Nobody’s Home,” and the title track—earning multi-platinum status and cementing his status as a country superstar.
