Cobra Starship
American Dance-Rock and Electropop Band Known for 2000s Party Anthems
About Cobra Starship
Cobra Starship, formed in New York City in 2005 by lead vocalist Gabe Saporta, is an American dance‑rock and electropop band celebrated for its high‑energy, party-ready sound. What began as Saporta’s solo project quickly grew into a full band lineup including Victoria Asher (keytar), Ryland Blackinton (guitar), Alex Suarez (bass) and Nate Novarro (drums), all of whom contributed to the band’s signature hook-laden style.
Their debut album, While the City Sleeps, We Rule the Streets (2006), gained underground attention—most notably through the single “Snakes on a Plane (Bring It)”. Their mainstream breakthrough came with Hot Mess (2009), featuring the double-platinum hit “Good Girls Go Bad” and the Top-10 single “You Make Me Feel…”.
