About Diplo
Diplo (Thomas Wesley Pentz), whose career began in the late 1990s, is an American DJ, record producer, and label founder known for melding EDM, hip-hop, dancehall, trap, and pop into chart-topping club anthems.
He earned widespread acclaim co-founding Major Lazer (dancehall/EDM), supergroup LSD (with Sia & Labrinth), electronic duos Jack Ü (with Skrillex) and Silk City (with Mark Ronson). Jack Ü's hit “Where Are Ü Now” won Best Dance Recording at the 2015 Grammys, alongside the Grammy-winning album Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack Ü for Best Dance/Electronic Album.
