About Donny Osmond
Born in Ogden, Utah, in 1957, Donny Osmond is an American singer, actor, dancer, and television host whose career has spanned more than six decades. The seventh of nine children in the famous Osmond family, he made his television debut at age five on The Andy Williams Show alongside his older brothers, who soon formed the chart-topping group The Osmonds.
Donny launched his solo career in 1971 at age 13, scoring an immediate #1 Billboard Hot 100 hit with "Go Away Little Girl." Follow-up smashes "Puppy Love" (1972), "Sweet and Innocent," "Hey Girl," and "Why" turned him into one of the defining teen idols of the 1970s, with his solo albums going gold and platinum on both sides of the Atlantic.
