Edwin McCain started his music career in the early 1990s as an American singer-songwriter and guitarist from Charleston, South Carolina. McCain gained popularity through his emotional voice, meaningful lyrics and acoustic guitar work which created deep connections with his audience.

The independent release of Honor Among Thieves (1995) introduced McCain to the public, but Misguided Roses (1997) brought him mainstream success with its platinum-selling single “I’ll Be.” The song established itself as a wedding favorite and became a permanent fixture on adult-contemporary radio stations which reached the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
