Elvis Costello (Declan Patrick MacManus) started his music career during the mid-1970s as an English singer-songwriter and musician from London who gained fame through his precise lyrics, his ability to play multiple musical genres and his willingness to try new musical approaches.

My Aim Is True (1977) marked his debut release which brought his clever songwriting to the public through songs like “Alison.” The Attractions joined him for This Year’s Model (1978) which included the aggressive rock song “Pump It Up.”
