Flatland Cavalry
Texas Red Dirt Country Band Known for Fiddle-Driven Sound and Honest Storytelling
About Flatland Cavalry
Flatland Cavalry came together in the dorms and dance halls of Lubbock, Texas, growing from a college side project into one of the most beloved bands in the Texas red dirt scene. Founded in 2012 by lead singer and songwriter Cleto Cordero, the group built its warm, fiddle-driven sound around honest, working-class storytelling, rounded out by a lineup featuring electric guitarist Reid Dillon, drummer Jason Albers, bassist Jonathan Saenz, and fiddle player Wesley Hall.
The band's 2016 debut album Humble Folks introduced their signature blend of traditional country and red dirt grit, earning a devoted grassroots following through relentless touring across Texas and beyond. Fan-favorite tracks like "A Life Where We Work Out" and "Stompin' Grounds" established Cordero as one of the scene's most gifted young songwriters.
