About Foghat
Foghat, formed in 1971 in London by former Savoy Brown members Dave Peverett (vocals/guitar), Roger Earl (drums), Tony Stevens (bass) and Rod Price (lead guitar), is an English-American hard rock band celebrated for their electrifying blend of blues-rock and arena-ready hooks.
They rose to prominence in the mid-’70s with albums like Foghat (1972) and Energized (1974), but it was Fool for the City (1975) that catapulted them to superstardom. The album spawned the enduring hit “Slow Ride” a blues-tinged hard rocker that became synonymous with their sound.
