Legendary Blues Rock Band Known for Raw Guitar Riffs and Gritty Energy
About George Thorogood & The Destroyers
George Thorogood & The Destroyers established themselves in 1973 as a blues-rock band in Wilmington, Delaware with George Thorogood serving as lead vocalist and guitarist. The band gained fame through their slide guitar blues-rock music with Bo Diddley rhythms and their energetic barroom performances which made them a fundamental part of American rock culture.
The band achieved their first major success in 1977 through their debut live album Live ’n’ Dangerous which delivered intense blues interpretations of “Madison Blues” and “One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer.” The band made “Who Do You Love?” their iconic anthem through its intense raw performance and powerful rhythmic beat.
