Girl Named Tom
The Voice-Winning Trio Known for Tight Harmonies and Folk-Pop Sound
About Girl Named Tom
Girl Named Tom, formed in 2019 in Pettisville, Ohio, is a sibling folk-pop trio comprised of Bekah, Joshua, and Caleb Liechty. Drawing on their Mennonite church upbringing and shared musical heritage, they began performing at local venues before releasing their debut single “Barrier Island” and the EP Another World in 2019.
In 2021, they auditioned for Season 21 of The Voice, delivering a stirring rendition of “Helplessly Hoping” that earned them a historic four-chair turn and ultimately made them the first trio to win the U.S. competition under coach Kelly Clarkson. Their emotional performances of “Creep,” “Dust in the Wind” and Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain” captivated both coaches and viewers.
