JoJo is an American pop and R&B singer-songwriter who became one of music's most celebrated comeback stories, overcoming a years-long record-label battle to reclaim a career she first launched as a teenage prodigy. Born Joanna Noëlle Levesque on December 20, 1990, and raised in Massachusetts, she performed on national talent shows as a child before signing her first record deal at age 12.

Her 2004 debut single "Leave (Get Out)," released when she was just 13, made her the youngest solo artist ever to top the Billboard Mainstream Top 40 chart. Her self-titled debut album, JoJo (2004), went platinum, and her sophomore record, The High Road (2006), produced the smash "Too Little Too Late," which set a record for one of the fastest climbs to the top three on the Billboard Hot 100.
