Since launching his solo project in 2014, KSHMR has become one of the most distinctive and influential names in modern EDM — an Indian-American DJ and producer whose fusion of big-room electronic dance music, traditional Indian instrumentation, and Bollywood-influenced melodies has helped shape the sound of a generation of festival-scale dance music. Born Niles Hollowell-Dhar in Berkeley, California, KSHMR chose his stage name in reference to the Kashmir region of his Indian heritage, an identity he has consistently embraced and celebrated throughout his career as one of the most visible South Asian artists in the wider dance music world.

Before launching KSHMR, Hollowell-Dhar built his career as one half of The Cataracs, the production duo behind pop and hip-hop hits including Far East Movement's "Like a G6" and Snoop Dogg's "Sweat."
