Since 1999, Simple Plan have been one of the most successful and enduring bands in the pop-punk genre, delivering anthems of teenage angst, heartbreak, and rebellion that have made them a global staple of the early-2000s emo and pop-punk era. Formed in Montreal, Quebec, the band came together when childhood friends Pierre Bouvier (lead vocals) and Chuck Comeau (drums) reunited to launch a new project, joined by Jeff Stinco (lead guitar) and Sébastien Lefebvre (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), with bassist David Desrosiers rounding out the classic lineup until his departure in 2020.

Their breakthrough came with their debut studio album No Pads, No Helmets... Just Balls (2002), which went double platinum in the U.S. and produced a run of hits that would define a generation of pop-punk fans — "I'm Just a Kid," "I'd Do Anything," "Addicted," and "Perfect." The album turned Simple Plan into an international touring force and a Warped Tour mainstay.
