Spin Doctors emerged in New York City during the late 1980s to become an alternative rock band. They're recognized for their funky rhythms alongside their jam-band sensibilities and their popular 1990s hits. The group formed from the local club scene when Chris Barron (vocals) joined forces with Eric Schenkman (guitar), Mark White (bass) and Aaron Comess (drums) to create a unique sound that stood out from the grunge movement.

The debut album Pocket Full of Kryptonite (1991) achieved unexpected success which led to 5x platinum certification because of the huge popularity of "Two Princes" and "Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong" on radio and MTV.
