Stevie B (Steven Bernard Hill) was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and he is an 80s freestyle legend who made dancefloor-ready hits and smooth vocal delivery that helped define the Latin-influenced dance-pop scene of the late 1980s and early ’90s. Stevie B became one of the genre’s most recognizable voices by combining electronic beats with romantic lyrics.

Stevie B released his debut album Party Your Body in 1988 which contained the club hits “Spring Love” and the title track which helped him gain popularity in Miami’s thriving freestyle scene. The single “Because I Love You (The Postman Song)” from Love & Emotion (1990) reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and became a crossover classic after its release.
