The Black Crowes emerged in Atlanta in 1984 when brothers Chris and Rich Robinson established the Southern rock band that became famous for its blues-infused sound, powerful guitar work and soulful vocals. During the late 1980s and early 1990s, the band brought back classic rock swagger through their contemporary musical style which drew similarities to The Rolling Stones, Faces and Humble Pie.

The debut album Shake Your Money Maker (1990) brought commercial and critical success through hits such as “Hard to Handle,”  “She Talks to Angels” and “Jealous Again.” The record achieved multi-platinum status which made the band famous for their blues-infused rock music.
