90s Country Music Outlaw & Grammy-Winning Performer
About Travis Tritt
Travis Tritt, born in Marietta, Georgia carved out a unique space in country music with a Southern rock edge and a rebellious spirit that set him apart in the early ’90s. Part of the famed “Class of ’89” alongside Garth Brooks and Alan Jackson, Tritt brought grit and bluesy swagger to Nashville’s polished sound, earning fans across country and rock audiences alike. His debut album Country Club (1990), delivered back-to-back hits like “Help Me Hold On,” “I’m Gonna Be Somebody,” and the title track, all of which helped the album reach platinum status.
Follow-up records like It’s All About to Change (1991) and T-R-O-U-B-L-E (1992) continued his hot streak, spawning signature songs such as “Here’s a Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares)” “Anymore,” and “Lord Have Mercy on the Working Man.”
