Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue is a high-octane band led by New Orleans native Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews, known for its explosive mix of jazz, funk, rock and soul. Born in the historic Tremé neighborhood, Andrews was a musical prodigy—playing trombone by age four and touring internationally before finishing high school. His band, Orleans Avenue, formed in the mid-2000s and quickly became a staple of modern New Orleans music.

Their breakthrough came with Backatown (2010) which debuted at number one on the Billboard Jazz chart and earned a Grammy nomination, followed by For True (2011) and Say That to Say This (2013), both praised for blending traditional brass with modern rhythms.
