Uncle Kracker (Matthew Shafer) was born in 1974 before becoming a rock and country artist who creates relaxing anthems with southern musical influences. The early 2000s marked the beginning of Uncle Kracker's solo career after he started his music career as a touring DJ and Kid Rock collaborator while developing his unique rock-country-pop sound.

The debut album “Double Wide” from 2000 introduced the hit single “Follow Me” which reached number five on Billboard Hot 100 and became a mainstay on adult contemporary and pop radio stations. The album contained two popular trackssuch as “Heaven” and “What ‘Chu Lookin’ At?”
