Bear Rinehart from Grammy-nominated rock band NEEDTOBREATHE operates Wilder Woods as his solo musical project. Wilder Woods emerged in 2019 as Bear Rinehart's musical outlet to create soulful music by blending indie rock with R&B and folk elements through vintage production techniques and introspective songwriting.

The project received its name from his two sons as he transitioned into a new artistic direction. The debut album of the same name revealed his more sensitive side through tracks “Supply & Demand” and “Sure Ain’t” which received praise for their emotional delivery and complex instrumentation.
