Pop Punk Band Known for 2000s Hits and Emotional Nostalgia
About Yellowcard
Yellowcard is an American pop punk band that originated in 1997 in Jacksonville, Florida. They gained fame through their rock violin-based anthemic music. The band established its core membership during the early 2000s with Ryan Key on vocals and guitar, Sean Mackin on violin, Ryan Mendez on lead guitar and Longineu Parsons III on drums and Peter Mosely on bass. This group collectively shaped their distinctive position in the early 2000s punk revival.
The band achieved mainstream success with Ocean Avenue (2003) which became double-platinum after the title track gained massive popularity as a generational anthem on MTV and modern rock radio. The band gained popularity through their emotional music style and high-energy live shows thanks to singles such as “Only One” and “Way Away.”
