About Ginuwine
Ginuwine (Elgin Baylor Lumpkin), whose career began in the early 1990s with the Swing Mob collective, burst onto the scene in 1996 with his debut solo album Ginuwine...the Bachelor. The album, featuring the timeless hit “Pony,” went double platinum and peaked at No. 26 on the Billboard 200, marking his arrival as a major R&B voice.
He followed with his second album 100% Ginuwine (1999), which peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 and went double platinum. It delivered multiple hits, including “Same Ol’ G,” “So Anxious,” and “None of Ur Friends Business.”
