Switch is a funk and soul band that emerged during the mid-1970s to become famous for their harmonious vocals, powerful stage shows and high-energy live performances. The Gordy label of Motown Records signed the band that consisted of brothers Bobby and Tommy DeBarge, together with Phillip Ingram, Gregory Williams, Eddie Fluellen and Jody Sims. The band achieved success through their skilled musicianship and refined sound during the R&B golden age.

The debut album Switch (1978) featured the popular slow jam "There'll Never Be" which became a mainstay of quiet storm radio and demonstrated their distinctive vocal style and elaborate musical arrangements.
