Trey Songz (Tremaine Neverson) was born in 1984 in Petersburg, Virginia. Trey Songz gained fame in the mid-2000s through his smooth vocals and sensual ballads which combined traditional soul with modern R&B. Trey Songz received his first music contract from Atlantic Records after finishing high school when he released his debut album in 2005.

The album, “Ready” (2009) brought him mainstream success through the Grammy-nominated single “Say Aah” and the fan-favorite tracks “I Invented Sex” and “Neighbors Know My Name.”
